DescriptionA finely potted Arita porcelain vase of double conical shape with prominently flaring mouth by Nishiura; the surface decorated in Japanese Art Nouveau style with a frieze of delicately tinted gray and white herons, having greenish brown bills and legs, set against a brilliant sapphire ground above that shifts to a pale grayish blue below; and the whole covered with a high-fired feldspathic glaze.
