DescriptionThe six-fold screen presents a bird's-eye view of a castle compound and its vicinities on a lavish gold-foiled ground. The compound, which dominates its right half, features a pale blue five-story tower inside a greenish rampart made of large, angular rocks. Two drawbridges are seen over a moat of dark water. In front, five carriages approach the castle from right, preceded by soldiers and courtiers. Interspersed among the pervasive gold clouds are geometric architectures and small figures engaged in various activities on the left half of the screen, and rolling hills painted in greena nd brown horizontal bands across the top.
