DescriptionImage of a woman of Asian descent seated in a chair beside a table with an open daguerreotype. There appears to be a traveling case positioned at her feet and she holds an object in her lap. She has a plaid scarf wrapped around her head and she wears pants under a long garment that falls below her knees. This sixth plate daguerreotype is housed in a brass oval mat (without preserver) with a burgundy velvet liner inside of a decorative paper covered wooden case with metal clasps.
