DescriptionImage of a dirt road lined with shops and people traveling in horse-drawn carriages. A large group is gathered on the porch of the "Miner's Store". A tree lined hill appears in the background. This half plate daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat with an embossed burgundy velvet liner inside of brown paper-covered wooden case with gold tooling. The cover depicts a round structure lined with columns and a central obelisk.
