DescriptionLarge silver coffee urn with three spigots, standing on three feet. Slight rococo chasing wtih handles of a rococo style. Domed cover with finial in the form of a basket.Gallery LabelLarge urns with multiple spigots such as this held hot water for tea; later tea or coffee was made in the urn. The urn's spigots and tall, scrolled feet allowed the water to be dispensed without lifting or tilting the large vessel. The urn's body is decorated with Rococo swirls and curves, which are echoed in the graceful handles. An exotic accent is introduced with the dragon-shaped spigots.
