DescriptionIn front of a rock face, left, from which a gnarled, leafy branch extends, a standing angel holds the proper right hand of a naked man who wears a loincloth; the man's legs are crossed at the ankles, his eyes are closed, and he is seated on a drapery-covered support. He is held below the arm pits by both hands of a woman who stands behind him, wearing a hood over her head. There is a crown of thorns on the ground at the lower right.
