Nine years after his parents transformed Loose Park, Cyril Christo reflected on his own encounter with the project that put Kansas City on the contemporary art world map and wrote this poem.
The response to Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Wrapped Walk Ways was overwhelmingly positive. Although the project challenged the expectations and perceptions of what art can be for some visitors to the park, countless others were mesmerized and many left with vivid memories of the experience.
