DescriptionThe kimono is unlined and made of plain weave Meisen silk. The warp and weft were printed with stencils and were woven to create the pattern, highlighting the combination of a hiware (broken-ice) pattern and a geometric black linear pattern. Light gray abstract shapes resembling ice form hiware pattern, and the gap is filled with light beige ground. The black lines are filled with red and white dots.
