DescriptionImage of a food truck parked along the side of a road. The truck is painted yellow and is covered in images and test. An awning is raised over a steel surface with the menu items listed above.Gallery LabelDow began to photograph Latino food trucks in 2004. He made several photographs in Los Angeles, noticing that a rich, culturally diverse mix of imagery often decorated the vehicles. This truck, known as “El Machín,” specializes in selling bionicos (fruit bowls with sweetened condensed milk) and raspados (shaved ice drinks) and features pictures of both the Virgin of Guadalupe and L.A. Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant.
