DescriptionEtching of a seated female nude. With her torso facing the viewer, her legs face slightly toward the viewer's left with her right foot placed in front of her left foot. Her hands are clasped and she holds a shawl against her right thigh. Her athletic build is rendered realistically, however, her head and helmet-like hair appears in a more angular, cubist style. She looks out at the viewer with her head turned slightly to the viewer's right toward the direction of the light source. Shading falls along the figure's proper right side.Copyright© Artists Rights Society (ARS), New York / ADAGP, Paris
