DescriptionImage of a small metal airplane displayed on a table behind a sofa. Three framed albums with plaques hang on the wall behind.Gallery LabelFascinated by the slick, modern interiors of corporate spaces, Susan Ressler photographed this office at A&M Records in Hollywood, California. She produced the work as part of the Los Angeles Documentary Project, a survey of the city’s diverse history by several different photographers and funded by the National Endowment for the Arts through a Photography Surveys initiative. Modelled on the federally funded social documentary work produced in the 1930s, the Photography Surveys played a key role in the growth of American photography during the 1970s.
