DescriptionThis work on paper is a vertically oriented etching. It depicts a single large vessel, reminiscent of the artist’s ceramic vessels or stacks, with several delineated sections and a chimney-like top. There is dark shading on the vessel with hatching marks. The background is mottled with a gradation of watered ink stains and splotches which are reminiscent of looming clouds.ProvenanceGifted by the Artist to Mr. Ken Ferguson (1928-2004), Shawnee, KS;
Inherited by his wife, Gertrude Ferguson, Shawnee, KS, by 2004;
