Exhibition HistoryFlowers to Frost: Four Seasons in East Asian Art, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, January 18 - July 17, 2016.
A horse and groom cool their weary feet in a mountain stream after a long trek in the mountains. The bright blue and green tone suggests warm weather, while the reddish leaves hint that the season is changing. Might it be a warm day in late summer or early autumn?
