DescriptionImage of a building with a large rectangular sign on the façade which reads "Union House" and a smaller sign below which reads "Office of the Feather River & Ophir Water Company". Curtains blow through open windows on second floor while a group of men stand out front with hands on hips. A man wearing a hat appears in the foreground at the very left edge of the plate. This half plate cased daguerreotype is housed in a traditional American decorative paper covered case with brass mat but without brass preserver. The green pebbled leather case has raised stripes along the perimeter and a decorative clasp in the center.Provenance
