DescriptionImage of a woman wearing a longsleeved dress and a bonnet while holding a hand-lettered sign that reads (backwards): "JOANNA CHAFFEE AGED 81 YRS 1850". This sixth plate cased daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat inside of a case with an embossed spray of roses motif, a red velvet liner, and side clasp.
