In this panorama, Mark Klett and Byron Wolfe combine contemporary color photographs of Lake Tenaya in Yosemite National Park with earlier images taken by Eadweard Muybridge, 1872 (far left), Ansel Adams, 1942 (middle), and Edward Weston, 1937 (right). By weaving these historic images into a panorama of their own, Klett and Wolfe explore the way individual artistic visions and different photographic processes can influence the depiction of a place as iconic as the American West.
