DescriptionOutside a thatched cottage (partially visible at far left), a man on horseback receives a pitcher of water from a small girl with pigtails. The well form which the girl has drawn the water as well as her mother at her washing and a younger child fill the left side of the image. Baskets of washing and chickens pecking the ground are seen at center foreground.
