DescriptionThis piece consists of two ceramic figures titled Education and Labor.Education (.2): A hollow stoneware sculpture with black underglaze of a young girl who appears to be dressed in a school uniform. She wears a solid button up blouse, a striped skirt with laced shoes, and knee-high socks. She has pigtails and her head is facing down. Her right hand is in her skirt pocket and her left hand carries a lunch pail.
Labor (.1): A hollow stoneware sculpture with black underglaze of a woman. She is wearing a striped shirt, patterned pants (with elongated hexagons) and jikatabi boots. She has a floral pattered head wrap covering part of her ears. She carries a backpack on her back and holds it with both hands upright near her shoulders.
