DescriptionImage of a gold miner with full beard seated on a wooden chair. He wears a hat with the front brim missing and there are patches sewn onto the knees of his pants. He holds a pickax and shovel over his shoulder and a pan on his back. This quarter plate daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat with a red silk liner inside of a decorative paper-covered wooden case.
