In a body of work featuring "images within images," Kenneth Josephson interrupts the otherwise seamless view of one photograph by inserting an earlier photograph of the same subject into the frame. He aligns the horizons of both images, calling attention to the fact that our understanding of this subject, as pictured in a snapshot, is relative to time and place.
