DescriptionScalloped-edged pressed paper fiberboard oval attached to a lathe-turned wooden handle. The screen element is decorated with Chinese-style scenes of figures in an architectural setting in gold and red on a black background. The borders of the screen is stenciled with western-style flowers, palmettes and foliage. The verso is painted red. The handle is painted black with gold hightlights.
