DescriptionGlobular form with pinched neck and flared lip. Rich red-brown glaze. Impressed and incised detail: smooth central band at mid-section with incised diagonal lines forming broad zig-zag pattern; below this band impressed surface appears to be that of rolled maize cob, same impress above central band with addition of long diagonal lines forming zig-zag pattern.Provenance

Acquired in eastern Ghana by Roy Sieber (1923-2001), May 1967 [1];

Roy and Sophie (1923-2013) Sieber, Gainesville, FL, May 1967-1994;
