DescriptionThe fabric is of a faded red color with figures of small boys holding various symbolic objects in blues and greens. There are also scattered motifs of birds and flowers. The border at top is of a Buddhist key-fret design in light green. The textile is lined with rose-colored damask, with feng-huang and could design.ProvenanceDr. Nicholas S. (1910-1993) and Mrs. Eva Ann McCluskey (1914-2008) Pickard, Mission Hills, KS, by 1972 [1];
Their gift to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, 1972.
