DescriptionFooted bowl. Oblate spherical air space in cover finial. Copper wheel engraved on one side with figures of pioneer man and woman, above which inscribed "Gateway . to . the . West" and below "Missouri". On the other side, engraved with mountainous landscape, rising sun and cacti. The two engravings are connected by a continuous engraved border of grass.
