DescriptionGround fabric: solid purple silk cut velvet. Orphreys: solid red silk cut velvet with applied roundels of linen embroidered with floss silks and silver-gilt thread in lanyard-short stem and straight stitches, laid and couched work. The hands and faces are of applied tabby weave silk (backed with paper) and embroidered in straight stitches.
