DescriptionGround fabric: tabby weave muslin with the exception of a semicircle at the upper edge, entirely worked with drawn-thread and pulled fabric work. The embroidery is worked with cotton in padded satin and overcast stitches; straight, stem and buttonhole stitches; and geometric filling stitches. Triangular panel, presumably a fichu, with a straight slightly convex upper edge and two, shorter scalloped sides. A floral stem, tied with a ribbon, rises from the lower point. There is a large sunflowerlike flower in the center and branching stems bearing similar flower heads and sprigs of smaller flowers and leaves.
