[1] The French and Company stock number for these chairs is documented in the NAMA registration files. The corresponding stock sheet, however, is missing from the Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles, French and Company Stock Sheets, box 35, folder 3. The sheets with stock numbers immediately following these chairs’ stock number are also for chairs, all of which were purchased from Huller and Co. on June 11, 1928. It is reasonable to expect these chairs may have been acquired from Huller and Co. on the same date.
