NOTES:

[1] The Friends of Art was a group of Nelson-Atkins supporters who were dedicated to the growth of the museum's contemporary art collection. In 1967, the group commissioned a print series in an edition of 101, retaining impression no. 1 for the Nelson-Atkins (see object F67-23/1) and offering the remaining 100 for sale to subscription members. The Friends of Art also gave the museum this cartoon for the finished work.
