DescriptionA mask of roughly rectangular proportions with small pierced almond eyes, a triangular nose and a pursed mouth. A black raffia cloth head covering is attached to the top of the mask. The eyes and mouth of the mask are covered with copper. The face of the mask is covered with red pigment. The forehead of the mask is covered with black and white triangular decoration and black and white "tear" lines descend at an angle from the eyes of the mask. A strip of raffia cloth is attached to the back of the mask and carved wooden ears are attached to this cloth.ProvenancePrivate collection, Belgium [1];
