DescriptionThe entire exposed surface is gilded. The front and side friezes are pierced trellises. The central cartouche is of acanthus leaves as are the corner cartouches above the knees of the cabriole legs. The legs are carved with small acanthus scrolls. Below the trellis on both sides of the central cartouche are swags of flowers (with screwed-on braces on the back). Surmounted by mottled grey and red marble slabs of conforming shape.
