[1] According to a purchase document in the Nelson-Atkins Registration file, the North China Art Trading Company was located at Loo Ch'ien Chii, Peiping (modern-day Beijing). Sickman's financial statement for the purchase names Li Tsin Chiu, Hatamen Ta Chieh, Peiping, as the person from whom the object was purchased.
