DescriptionFragmentary sculpture of Kuan-Yin, legs and right arm missing. High headdress bearing an image of Buddha. Scarves cover the shoulders and are draped across the chest. Originally the figure was seated in the maharajalila pose, the arm resting on the knee of the upraised right leg, and the left leg pendant. The wood is weathered to a rich brown.
