[1] See inscription on bottom of lithograph: À Madame Edwards / L. Fantin. Ruth Edwards was the widow of the landscape painter and etcher, and Fantin-Latour’s London dealer, Edwin Edwards (1823-1879). She continued to act as Fantin-Latour’s dealer after her husband’s death.
