DescriptionA) Image of a group of men loosely lined up outside of a canvas covered structure. Many of the men wear wide brimmed hats. In the foreground are narrow winding branches and a rustic wooden fence.
B) Image of a mining landscape taken from a high vantage point. It depicts a rocky valley at the base of a steep hill with a mining platform stretching between two small bodies of water. Figures stand near the base and several small homes are visible on the hill.
These two half plate daguerreotypes are housed in brass mats inside a single traditional brown leather case, which is adorned with abstract designs and gold tooling.
