DescriptionThis multimedia painting appears to be the interior of a room. To the bottom left, a man stands behind some kind of barrier facing a fireplace with a log at the center, his back to the viewer. Beside the fireplace to the right, a woman stands facing the man with her hands clasped across her belly. Her face is obscured by shadows. In front of her in the bottom right corner sits a table with several objects including a bottle, a cloth, and what appear to be small figurines of animals. The imagery is centralized, whereas the edges have feeling of being pieced together and unfinished; there are many paint splatters and drips on the left, as well as sketched lines and indeterminant features on the top and bottom, and the imagery fades into the background on the right side.Exhibition History
