"…Grand HexaNet materializes complex mathematical figures, exploring the interactions between flatness and volume, order and chaos, continuity and rupture." -Elías Crespin

Suspended by almost imperceptible nylon threads, Venezuelan artist Elías Crespin's Grand HexaNet dances above our heads. Trained in computer science, Crespin designed the software that controls the red aluminum tubes and their hypnotic choreography. How we perceive this piece depends on where we stand and at what point in the cycle we encounter it-making us active participants in its mesmerizing ballet. It may also inspire us to think about Bloch Lobby in a new way.
