DescriptionThis doll portrays Emperor Jinmu, a mythological figure believed to be the first emperor of Japan, seated on a stool. His face is oval and white, and his facial expression is calm and stern. His eyes are inset glass, and he has a long black beard and mustache. He is dressed in layers of silk brocade robes and pants. The top layer is a kariginu-type robe made of brown silk brocaded with gold paper-backed threads. His legs are covered with blue silk thigh guard embroidered with dragon motifs. He wears a magatama necklace, a mirror suspended from his neck with a string. And he holds a fan and a sword.
