DescriptionThis monochromatic mixed media work on paper depicts numerous balloons being released from outstretched hands which are reaching up from the bottom edge of the paper. A transferred photographic image of a child’s face is in the middle of each balloon. In the upper right hand corner there is a larger, more prominent balloon with an angry human face at its center. Black pastel has been aggressively applied in diagonal lines around the borders of the large balloon.Provenance

Acquired from the artist through exchange by Hugh Merrill, 2018-2019;
