DescriptionThree panel panoramic image of woman crouched near water in left panel and a man standing near water in right panel; mountains in background.Gallery LabelFor many summers, my parents rented a cabin near Rocky Mountain National Park. My father could spend hours gazing into the far distance, watching how the light moved across the land. My mother, with her plant identification book, learned the names of wildflowers. These traits influenced me as an artist; I am drawn to both the distant horizon and the intimate details. Recently, I returned, hoping to find the exact spot where I made this image. Everything had changed - the weather, water patterns, plant growth. My parents have passed. It was a reminder that you can never truly go back. -Barbara Bosworth
