DescriptionThe two prints are the left and middle sections of a triptych. The left section portrays a woman kneeling down behind a samurai who is opening a sliding door painted with the image of a tiger. A red lamp is placed in front of the sliding door. The middle section depicts another samurai seated cross-legged; he rests his head on both hands, which hold a fan that is balanced on top of his knee. A screen painted with crashing waves is positioned behind him.
