DescriptionFan has 16 elaborately carved and pierced blades of Mother-of-Pearl which unfold to form a single decorative pattern of four goddesses seated on clouds. The web of the fan is of paper and decorated with romantic 18th c. genre scenes done in lithograph and colored by hand. The fan is enclosed in a glass and wood gilt frame. Mrs. Drage has been told that this fan comes from the Tuilleries.
