DescriptionOval form, rim with 12 stepped scallops each surmounted by a shell and edged by strapwork border. Four, five-clawed feet, beneath winged female torso and dragon head; wide relief in center of each long side: one, seated Neptune, horses, and putti; the other, three mermaids or sirens. Flanking scrolled term handles on short sides, pairs of small reliefs representing the four seasons: ice skater, reaper, shepherd, girl with bird. Swags between reliefs; repoussé scale patterns with loops beneath handles. Gold-wash interior.
