Gallery Label
This bowl was first glazed and fired in a kiln at about 2,300 degrees Fahrenheit. The decoration was then painted on using transparent colored enamels and the piece was refired at a lower temperature. We are not certain whether the unripened fruits are peaches, pomegranates or persimmons—what do you think?
