DescriptionAn off-white carved small baluster-shaped ivory vase. The neck is decorated with panels of carved poems, one about A Hsi on one side and one about Ch'en Hsi-chiu on the other. The body is carved with figural scenes: on one side are armed men entering the gate of a walled compound wtih a family inside a pavilion; the other shows a wheeled donkey cart acosted by three persons. Pair with F97-37/6.
