DescriptionThe body of this mask is made of loosely woven raffia fiber. A large ruff of raffia fiber is attached to the bottom of the mask. The eyes and mouth of the mask are small conical basketry constructions which project from the foundation material. The nose and horizontal crest on top of the mask are made from wood covered with black and white pigment. A vertical projection of black and white feathers extends vertically from the wooden crest on the top of the mask.Provenance
