DescriptionOne of a pair of dishes, this is a lobed, rectangular serving dish with hand-painted enamel decoration of a variety of a crocus; the rim is outlined in iron-red enamel. This one is painted with a botanical decoration placed asymmetrically of a "Party Coloured Crocus" bulb with two stems issuing from the bulb: one with an opened flower, the other with an unopened bud and new shoot. The opened flower is white and purple with feathered petals, a bright yellow center, and orange stamens and pale green stems. The bud is dark purple with white stripes.
