Gallery LabelAlbrecht Dürer’s influence extended beyond the borders of his native Germany to Italy, where engravers such as Giovanni Antonio da Brescia copied his designs. This print is a copy in reverse of Dürer’s St. Jerome in Penitence by da Brescia, an engraver who signed his works early in his career with the initials “Z.A.”
