DescriptionBowl with flairing, foliate rim is decorated in colored enamel and gilt. On the interior is delicate, detailed painting of nine figures, a flowering tree, and a floral border. The gold accents are raised. The exterior painting depicts 28 ladies around the petalled rim. On the body of the bowl are three groupings of decoration depicting typically Japanese objects: masks, lacquer boxes, etc.
