DescriptionThis two-paneled collage shows a horizontally oriented park map delineated with gold lines to the left, with two black-and-white photographs of pathways in a park beneath it. To the right is a primarily monochrome photograph/drawing of pathways in a park that are covered with cloth. The grass is colored with soft hues of yellow gold. The path starts at the bottom of the composition. It recedes into the background as it rises up the composition. Toward the middle of the composition, the path branches into two paths to the left and right. The left leg of the path recedes straight back and then veers to the right towards the top of the composition. It meets and crosses other branches of the path as it goes, and trees cover it in the distance. The right leg of the initial path takes a strong right curve just above the middle of the composition. A person is standing on the path with their back to the viewer. A few of the portions that meet the left leg of the path connect to the right leg as well. At the fork between the two branches of the path is a sign that reads, “Mini-bikes prohibited.” In the distance to the right of the composition are two park benches and, further out, two swing sets. Many trees rise in the distance, and a building peeks out from behind the trees in the top right corner. Along the top of the composition are handwritten notes in black ink. More handwritten notes are beneath the map.Exhibition History
