DescriptionA dark man sits at a table, against a yellow background. He wears a jacket and a yellow tie, and there is the suggestion of devil’s horns above his head. He is looking at a print or painting of a drowned naked woman laid out on the table. Her head is on the right and one breast with a brown nipple is prominent near the bottom of the image. Her legs don’t extend beyond her knees. He holds a flashlight in his proper left hand and the beam cuts across the woman’s body.Provenance
